Pancreatic Cancer

The pancreatic gland which is located behind the stomach and produces enzymes that are required for digestion besides hormones like insulin.

Pancreatic cancer originates from the pancreas and rapidly spreads to other nearby organs Pancreatic cancer can be difficult to treat due to lack of early symptoms, thus is often diagnosed at a later stage resulting in a low overall survival rate. 

Symptoms that could be probable causes of Pancreatic cancer are:

• Abdominal pain: There the pain is felt in the upper abdomen and may radiate to the back.
• Unexplained weight loss: Weight loss, combined with loss of appetite.
• Jaundice: Yellowing of the skin and eyes, caused by a build-up of bilirubin.
• Changes in stool and urine: Dark urine and light-coloured stools due a problem with bile flow.
• Fatigue and weakness: Weakness or feeling unusually tired.
• Nausea, vomiting and new onset of diabetes: These symptoms may also be linked with pancreatic cancer.
